This policy explains the information Food Hunt Level Guide processes, why it is used, and the choices available to visitors.

1. Scope

This Privacy Policy applies when you browse foodhuntlevel.com, open a level walkthrough, post a comment or reply, upload an image, or contact us by email. This guide is independent from Food Hunt: Pixel Puzzle and its developer or publisher. Their apps and services follow separate privacy practices.

2. Information we process

Technical and usage data. Hosting, security, analytics, and advertising systems may process IP address, browser and device type, requested URL, referring page, approximate location, request time, response status, cookie or device identifiers, and diagnostic information.

Comments and images. If you post, we process your public display name, comment or reply, level number, optional image, IP address, user agent, vote activity, and submission time. Your display name, text, and uploaded image may be public. Do not use an email address as your display name or include sensitive information.

Messages. When you email us, we receive your email address and any information or attachments included in the message.

3. How we use information

  • Deliver walkthroughs and maintain site functionality.
  • Publish, moderate, troubleshoot, and protect comments and image uploads.
  • Apply rate limits, detect abuse, prevent fraud, and maintain security.
  • Respond to corrections, support requests, privacy requests, and legal notices.
  • Measure aggregate usage, serve and measure advertising, and improve guide coverage.

4. Cookies, analytics, and advertising

We use Google Analytics 4 to understand aggregate traffic and how visitors use the guide. We also use Google AdSense to deliver and measure advertising. These services may use cookies, local storage, device identifiers, or similar technologies to process visited pages, approximate location, browser and device information, referral source, ad interactions, and related usage data.

You can limit cookies through browser settings, content-blocking tools, and controls offered by Google. Blocking optional tracking may affect personalization or advertising but does not prevent access to the walkthrough library.

We do not sell personal information. Information may be processed by providers supporting hosting, content delivery, storage, security, analytics, advertising, and embedded media. Walkthroughs may embed videos or link to Apple, Google, YouTube, or other services. Loading or visiting those services allows them to process information under their own policies.

We may disclose information when reasonably necessary to comply with law, respond to valid legal process, investigate abuse, or protect the rights, safety, and security of visitors, the website, or third parties.

6. Retention and security

We retain information only as long as reasonably necessary for site operation, moderation, security, dispute handling, and legal obligations. Retention periods vary by record type. Public comments may remain until removed or no longer needed. We use reasonable administrative and technical safeguards, but no internet service can guarantee absolute security.
